WHere is an easy version of a cocktail found on a new cocktail list. Designed as a batch premix that is packed with flavours of a Christmas time, which makes it excellent for a celebration. Reserve the remaining citrus syrup to use in morning drinks, sweets, or to mix another batch of the drink.
Bikini Recipe
Serves 10 people
For the Clementine Cordial (yields 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
To make the Drink (produces 850ml, serving 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (from the recipe above)
Whole cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Directions
Making the Citrus Syrup: Combine the listed items inside a saucepan, bring to a simmer, stirring to dissolve. After that, remove from the stove and let it to cool down completely. Decant to a sterilised bottle, close it keeping it chilled, it can be stored for up to four weeks.
Preparing the Premix: Mix the specified liquids into a sizeable container, allow it to infuse for one hour, then pass it through preferably using cheesecloth, making it perfectly clear.
When ready to serve: Measure 85ml from the premix to a mixing glass containing ice, and stir lightly for a minute until cold. Filter into an cold coupe glass or equivalent, garnish with some cranberries and complete it with a brief mist of the essential oil over the drink.
